There are different types of content to release on the Internet. It really depends your comfort level, type of audience, and how you want to communicate your message. The type of content that you release onto the web really depends on the learning style of your audience. If you know how they learn, then you can provide content that is more engaging.
People learn in different ways. In fact, there are multiple types of learning styles. However, for the purpose of planning your content marketing plan, you should be familiar with only three styles to effectively market your product, service or brand:
- Read/Write Learners
- Auditory Learners
- Visual Learners
Read/write learns learn through reading and writing. People who learn by reading and writing might identify with content that has more words to it than listening or seeing. Below are some types of content that read/write learners might identify with most:
- Case studies
- Press Releases
Anything that involves reading, read/write learners love it. In a since, search engines are read/write learners too because they scan web page for unique types of content that matches a query.
People who are auditory learners learn by listening. They learn by hearing and want to be told what to do. Types of content that can be used for auditory learners is:
- Live streamed events
- Online Courses
- Web TV
Visually learning is accomplished by seeing. Some people like to look first, then do second. Types of Content that can be used for visual learner is
- Free trials
The types of learning styles and different types of content is just the basic. Some can overlap as individuals can learn any multiple ways. Plus, some content can achieve all three learning types too.
